Yes, here I am again, kids – - posting at the speed of drying paint.  I hope none of you is coming here for daily news, cuz a news aggregator blog this ain’t. If that’s what you’re really looking for, I recommend the Carpetbagger Report. Or Norwegianity. Both excellent at delivering the latest news with articulate commentary.   ÂÂ
On the other hand, if you’re here for an inimitable blend of links to old news and funny pitchures and subjects of interest only to myself, relax — you’re in the right place.  Here’s my usual bi-weekly roundup of stuff I saw and things I read:

Mac Hammond: I would almost welcome an IRS audit
Here’s the money quote (and never has that phrase seemed more apt):
“It takes wealth, folks, to establish God’s covenant on Earth,” he said. “It takes money to buy airtime. It takes money to be influential. If you have no money, you can’t even love, because love is about giving and not being a burden.”
Let’s see. WDJS (What Did Jesus Say) about love? How about this:
” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-40 NIV)
Now what did Jesus say about money?  Something about camels and needles….
“Again i say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God..” (Matthew 19:24 NASB)
Wait wait — I’m a little confused here. Jesus says that love is the most important commandment of all, so love is what i must do. But you just said that I have to have money in order to be able to love, so I need money. But money will make it hard for me to get into heaven, so it would be better if I didn’t have money.  I’m missing something here. Help me out, Mac!
