Internet Traditions Awareness Initiative

Or as I like to call it (especially when I’m full of Vicodin)

Meemzapoppin!

And if I have to explain the etymology of that word you’re obviously neither as old as I am nor as medicated.

Well, perhaps I shouldn’t just proceed assuming that you all know what I’m talking about, which in this case is that new viral meme sensation that’s sweeping the nation

I AM AWARE OF ALL INTERNET TRADITIONS

Are you aware? If not It might be best to read the backstory before you go any further.

There. Now you are no doubt as aware of all internet traditions as John Cole and the Poor Man.

And myself.

I happened to take a sick day yesterday and spent most of it in a mild painkiller-induced fog, which turns out to be exactly the right state for creating meme-spreading graphics. Here we go…

Lions and tigers in Kenya are aware. (Forget Norway)

LOLcats are aware:

A different ”CATS”  is also aware.   For great justice!

Even the tourist guy is aware:

And, coming soon: Jimi Hendrix and Clint Eastwood are also aware of all internet traditions.

Are YOU?

No I’m not. I’ve only been online since ’93, but everytime I turn around we seem to have new traditions.

You want tradition? Go back to a traditional dial up account!

Um, you didn’t happen to use up all those vicodin, did you?

I’m just asking for a friend.

  • Tell your, uh, friend that this is definitely not even close to House-grade vicodin.

For real, honest painkilling I’d either go with House levels of hydrocodone (which would be at least triple the level that’s in the stuff I’ve got) or do what I’m actually doing, popping 800 mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours.

But if, instead of a painkiller, your friend is hankering for a short-lasting, kind of foggy blurring of his/her pain, along with a longer-lasting headache, boy howdy do I have the right stuff.
