I hate to-do lists. I make them, and I even finish them sometimes, but usually it’s only a few minutes before my focus wanders off into the unknown and doesn’t return for hours, or days, and the whole thing ends up being yet another pointless exercise in FAIL. What to do?
Leo the Zenhabits guy found something that works when the standard to-do list is too daunting; when the thought of having to get more than one thing done becomes a challenge of soul-crushing proportions. How does it work? Make your list one item long. Focus on getting that one thing done, and when you’re done with it, either choose another thing to do, or not. Give it a try here:
